Plastic mallet, 1 inch face, 10 inches long, metal shaper, none marking, ring forming, smooth stamping, metal working
Ring shaping on steel Mandrel. This will not mark the metal. I most frequently use when I am stamping to flatten the item I was stamping on. The process of stamping causes the metal to a little distorted and start to curve. Once this starts to happen it get difficult to continue stamping so I flip over the item and tap flat again design down on the steel block with the plastic mallet. You can then continue to texture or stamp. I also use it with the wooden dapping block to curve the silver. You can also use it to harden silver wire without changing its shape. It is a multi-use tool.
10 inches long and the head is 1 x 3 3/4 inches
